Akhir-akhir ini sangat merasa bosan dengan Facebook dan Plurk, terlalu banyak yang enggak perlu rasanya. Blog juga sedang jarang di update krn memang tidak selalu ada postingan / kabar yang berbobot.
Saya sedang addict dengan Twitter sekarang, segala pikiran2 dan hal2 yang sedang saya lakukan selalu saya update di situ karena simpel dan seperlunya.
It never crossed my mind when I first hear the news early this morning that I would be writing some kind of sentimental note about MJ.
I mean, I know he’s the king and all, he’s a super legend, there was no escaping him when I grew up, but I don’t really feel a strong connection between his music and the music that I play right now, at least not enough for me to write something on his permanent departure. I mean, if BB King or Eric Clapton or John Mayer later dies I’d probably be more upset than this.
But, as the day goes along suddenly it hits me, I remember that night I said to my mom when I was 14,”Mom, I want to learn the electric guitar”, was right after hearing the intro to the song Black and White ( I think I mentioned this on my earlier post on this blog). Then I got the chills, then I’m suddenly kinda sad.
The song that made me want to pick up and play the guitar was not a hit from Clapton, or BB or Van Halen, but it was MJ’s song.
My mom had brought me an acoustic nylon guitar before from work but I never interested in playing it, I couldn’t tune it and I looked uncool. Until that night when we went to a café with live music and the house band were playing that song right in front of my eyes and ears.
So from that day about 17 years ago until now, I have been pretty much inseparable with my guitars. Whenever I was leaving home for few days on a trip with friends or something my mom would always asked,” Are you sure you’re not bringing your guitar?” ☺

Belum bisa dipastikan tanggal rilisnya, tapi saya sedang menulis materi-materi untuk album berikutnya. Sekitar 7 atau 8 lagu yang sudah keliatan bentuknya. Lirik sudah mulai terkumpul but i’m still searching for most of them. Saya biasa menulis lagu mulai dari bagian gitarnya dulu supaya bentuk lagu and it’s emotion terbentuk dulu. From there the adventure of words searching begins to create the story for the songs.
Salah satu hal berbeda dari album sebelumnya, pada beberapa lagu saya memakai DADGAD tuning pada gitar dan capo di fret 3. Ha..apa itu? silakan di Googling saja.
Lagu-lagu yang sudah keliatan judulnya adalah Carnival, Don’t Look Back, Immortal Mellow dan Forget Jakarta.
Untuk nama albumnya sendiri belum ketauan.
So there you go folks.
It’s official. I’ve seen it. I’ve heard it. They played the song from start to finish on a scene where Radit chose to go visit Melbourne instead of coming home for his gf’s birthday.
To see and hear a song that you just came out one morning in 10 minutes on your bedroom being played on this giant movie screen theater was unreal, and it’s going to be heard nationwide.

I want to own expensive acoustic guitars, some $2000 ones, some $3000 ones and one day the $5000 ones, because if you understand guitars, the higher the price (most of the time) the better they get.
But most of all, i want them because they inspire me, and i believe i DESERVE to play them, and i can write beautiful music with them in my hands.
Some people are starting to think that a bedroom musician is a profession, and that bedroom music is a genre, no no. I tell people that i’m a bedroom musician is simply because i only play in my bedroom. I can write and record music in my room with simple recording hardwares and give them away for everyone for free on the internet, absolutely no income from it at all.
I found that just because you love writing music, doesn’t always mean you want to be famous or be in the industry.
I love writing music, i give them away to everyone without any burden.
Why so serious?
